Messianic Rabbi Glenn Blank describes Beit Simcha, the love of God and joy we experience (our name means "House of Joy"), how we welcome both Jews and Gentiles who love Israel and the Jewish roots of faith in Messiah Yeshua, and how we seek to live out our Jewish heritage by observing the Shabbat, the festivals, and raising children in the covenants of Israel.
(from a WPGH TV60 interview on Pastor Larry Burd's Living Truth program)

Glenn describes how an unexpected vision of Yeshua (Jesus) launched him on a search of world religions and the Bible. He realized that we cannot know God unless God reveals himself to us, which the Hebrew Scriptures say he does through the Messiah, "the image of the invisible God."

Before he was a believer in Yeshua, Glenn was self-absorbed and lonely, but after he became a believer, the Lord changed his heart and called him to be a leader, concerned about others. Years later, when he was a college professor and a father, God called him to start a Messianic congregation, then showed him how to mature as a Messianic Rabbi, getting his training and ordination in fellowship with other Messianic Rabbis.

Rabbi Glenn describes Messianic Jewish beliefs and teachings, about God, Yeshua (Jesus) as Messiah, our joy in the Messiah, the festivals of Israels, Jewish heritage, God's plan of salvation for the whole world.

Excerpts from a Torah service at Beit Simcha, in which the chazzan or cantor calls a member of our congregation up to bless God and read from the Torah, the ceremony of lifting up the Torah, and the congregant giving a drash or personal interpretation of the portion she read.
